Chelsea's Team Of The Decade First Winger : Moses Battles Real Madrid Star, U17 & World Cup Winners
Published: December 25, 2019In continuation of the poll for Chelsea's Team of the Decade, the official website of Chelsea has asked supporters to choose the first of two wingers in the starting line-up.
Former Nigeria international Victor Moses has been nominated for a wing role alongside Real Madrid summer signing Eden Hazard, 2017 England U17 World Cup winner Callum Hudson-Odoi, and a member of Spain's 2010 World Cup winning squad Juan Mata.
Moses joined Chelsea in August 2012 after spells with Crystal Palace and Wigan Athletic.
Since the 29-year-old's arrival at the Stamford Bridge outfit, he has played on loan for Liverpool, Stoke City, West Ham United and Fenerbahce.
He qualified to be shortlisted for Chelsea's Team of the Decade having made more than 50 appearances for the club (128 in total).
Moses helped the Blues win the Europa League in his first season with the club, scoring 4 goals in 6 matches in the knockout rounds, and was an influential member of the squad that won the Premier League and FA Cup in 2017 and 2018 respectively.
Predominantly a right winger, he is also comfortable playing as a right wing-back and can also be deployed as a left winger.
