Exclusive : Key Leicester City Midfielder Ndidi Will Not Play Against Wolverhampton Wanderers
Published: February 14, 2020Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report that key Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi will certainly miss his side's Premier League meeting against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Friday night.
Manager Brendan Rodgers suggested at the pre-match press conference that the Nigeria international was doubtful for the game after suffering a little reaction to the knee operation he had last month.
Leicester City's medical team has advised the holding midfielder to rest the injury with a view to returning to the squad for their upcoming games.
Ndidi's absence will be a big blow to the Foxes who are targeting a Champions League spot at the end of the season.
Of the six matches the Super Eagles star has been left out of the squad through injury this term, the King Power Stadium outfit have managed to win only once in regulation time- against Sheffield United on August 24, 2019.
Ndidi has been huge success since joining Leicester City from Racing Genk in January 2017 and was top tackler in the Premier League for two consecutive seasons.
