'Wilf May Be Available For Next Week' - Rodgers Provides Ndidi Update As Leicester Face Midfield Shortage
Without their influential holding midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, ten-man Leicester City battled to a goalless draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers in a Premier League encounter at Molineux Stadium on Friday night.

Manager Brendan Rodgers is facing a central midfield shortage ahead of his side's next Premier League fixture against the champions Manchester City on February 22.

Hamza Choudhury received the first red card of his professional career in the 77th minute against Wolves after bringing down Leander Dendoncker, making him ineligible to face the Citizens, while Wilfred Ndidi and Nampalys Mendy are still on the mend, with the latter not expected to return to action until March.

Rodgers confirmed post-match that the Nigeria international will be closely monitored early next week with a view to a potential return against Manchester City.

He was quoted as saying by BBC Leicester Sport : "Wilf may be available for next week. He didn't make today but he’s responding well to treatment and we'll assess that at the start of the week".

Kelechi Iheanacho was named in Leicester City's matchday 18 against Wolves but was a non-playing substitute.
