'The Boy Is Doing Very Well' - Bayern Sporting Director Praises Nigeria Target Zirkzee
Published: March 05, 2020
Nigeria Football Federation target Joshua Zirkzee has received praise from Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic following his heroics since he was promoted to the first team.
The efficient striker has registered his name on the scoresheet three times in the German Bundesliga after logging just 100 minutes, averaging a goal approximately every 33 minutes.
Speaking about the development of Zirkzee, Salihamidzic told sport1.de : "He is very young, but has developed really well in the past few months.
"He has learned to be more present. He is not a bit sleepy the way he was before".
The former Juventus midfielder added : "The boy is doing very well. Of course we are glad that we can now bring such players out of the academy.
"He is a great talent with whom we will work a lot. He is on the right track".
Ahead of a potential invitation to the Super Eagles, Dutch-born Zirkzee was scouted by manager Gernot Rohr last weekend as Bayern Munich thrashed Hoffenheim 6-0 in the Bundesliga.
