Talented midfielder of Nigerian descent Faustino Anjorin has ended speculation over his future by agreeing a new multi-year deal with Chelsea.
According to Goal.com, Chelsea have reached an agreement in principle with the England U19 international to renew his contract until 2025 and only a signing ceremony is left before the deal is officially announced.
The 18-year-old has fifteen months remaining on his current contract with The Blues and would have been free to start negotiating with foreign clubs as from January if an agreement was not reached.
Poole-born Anjorin first trained with Chelsea at U7 level and signed a contract with the club at the U9 age group.
A powerful box-to-box midfielder, he made his professional debut in a League Cup tie against Grimsby Town last September and played his first game in the Premier League in a 4-0 rout of Everton on March 8.
He has made appearances for Chelsea's youth teams in the U18 Premier League, FA Youth Cup, Premier League 2, EFL Trophy and UEFA Youth League this season and has 11 goals to his name in all competitions.
