'He's Like A Brother To Me' - QPR's Eze Speaks On Relationship With Osayi-Samuel
Published: April 19, 2020
Eberechi Eze has revealed the bond he shares with Nigerian-born winger Bright Osayi-Samuel, saying they previously played on the same team.
Eze was snapped up by Queens Park Rangers in August 2016 following his release by Millwall and a year later Osayi-Samuel joined him at the London club.
The two attack-minded players have been on fire in the 2019-2020 season, contributing to a combined 30 goals (18 goals, 12 assists) between them, leading to interest from Premier League clubs and speculation surrounding their international future.
In a question and answer session on Instagram published by Football League World, Eze stated : "Me and Bright weren’t in the same school team. We were in the same district team.
"It's a blessing because you don't usually get to work with people you've grown up with.
"He's like a brother to me, so it's good to share the field with him and it makes everything we do even more special."

Eze trained with the Super Eagles ahead of their friendly against Burkina Faso in March 2017 which was later cancelled.
Osayi-Samuel previously admitted that he would be open to playing for the Nigeria national teams.
