Blackpool Tricky Winger Bright Osayi-Samuel Picks Nigeria Ahead Of England
Published: April 13, 2016
Blackpool teenage sensation Bright Osayi-Samuel has said that he will not reject a call-up to Nigeria’s Under 20 and Under 23 National Teams ahead of the Africa U20 Cup of Nations and 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.
The exciting winger has committed his future to Nigeria ahead of England but has not yet been contacted by the Nigeria Football Federation regarding playing for one of its national teams.
Born in Nigeria 18 years ago, Bright Osayi-Samuel moved to Spain at a young age along with his parents and remained in the country until the age of 10 when he immigrated to England.
“I have decided to play for Nigeria, my dad wants me to play for the country and the players in the team inspire me,” says Bright Osayi-Samuel to allnigeriasoccer.com.
“I don’t mind playing for the Under 20 and Under 23 teams.
“I can bring my pace and power on the wing with trickery to go past players if I am invited.”
Bright Osayi-Samuel has played 23 times for the first team of Pool so far this season across all competitions, and bagged two assists against Colchester United.
