'We See Neymar Doing That' - Arsenal Legend Wright Recalls Okocha Skills At Bolton Similar To PSG Star
Published: April 29, 2020
Former Super Eagles midfielder and captain Austin 'Jay Jay ' Okocha has received the plaudits of Arsenal legend Ian Wright for his insane dribbling skills when he strutted his talents at former Premier League side Bolton Wanderers.
Wright spoke on The Football Show, a programme by the Premier League Productions on Wednesday.
"If you asked the Bolton fans and his team-mates they would say he played with a freedom and expression that was so entertaining.
"I saw him flick the ball over his head in the corner with Ray Parlour. We see Neymar doing that," Wright said.
With both almost settling for a point each, the legendary Nigerian received the ball close to the corner flag and flicked it above his head and over that of Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour, an 'act' which he repeated before the match ended, this time French winger Robert Pires partaking in Okocha's repertoire of skills.

The game Wright referred to was a 2-2 draw between Bolton and Arsenal in 2003 at the Reebok Stadium.

Okocha played 124 Premier League matches for Bolton in four seasons.
Bolton are now playing in the third tier of English football, the League One, and have had their existence as a club threatened due to financial crisis.
