Former Liverpool Star Ibe To Be Shown The Exit Door At Bournemouth
Published: May 21, 2020
Nigeria-eligible winger Jordon Ibe is set to bid farewell to English Premier League club Bournemouth, according to reports.
Sky Sports says the one-time Nigeria Football Federation target will be allowed to leave The Cherries as a free agent when he comes off contract with the club on June 30.
Ibe has struggled to live up to expectations since his big money move from Liverpool in the summer of 2016, scoring five goals in ninety-two appearances across all competitions.
The former England U19 star was Bournemouth's most expensive signing in history when he joined the club in the 2016-2017 campaign for a fee of 15 million pounds, before the record was broken by Nathan Ake the following season.
No thanks to injuries and loss of form, Ibe has been involved in only two Premier League games this season, logging a paltry 47 minutes.
Former Nigeria U20 international Nnamdi Ofoborh remains contracted to Bournemouth until the end of the 2020-2021 season while another Nigerian youngster in Ferdinand Okoh has agreed a scholarship with the club.
