Liverpool thrashed Blackburn Rovers 6-0 in a behind-closed-doors friendly staged at Anfield on Thursday as both teams continue to fine-tune their preparations ahead of the restart of the season, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
Manchester City loanee Tosin Adarabioyo had a bad day at the office as he was on the pitch for 72 minutes, during which the Premier League champions-in-waiting scored five of their goals.
Six different players were on target for Jurgen Klopp's side : Sadio Mane, Naby Keita, Takumi Minamino, Joel Matip, Ki-Jana Hoever and Leighton Clarkson.
Wearing the number 24 jersey (see photo), Adarabioyo was partnered in central defence by Darragh Lenihan.
With Blackburn Rovers trailing 1-0, the former England youth international almost caused a goal when Minamino's snap shot from his attempted clearance was saved by the goalkeeper.
Adarabioyo is spending his second consecutive season on loan having previously spent time on loan at West Brom for the 2018-2019 campaign.
The 22-year-old, who has been on the books of Manchester City for seventeen years, has logged 2,336 minutes for Blackburn Rovers in the Championship.
