'I Haven't Heard Anything About Club Brugge' - English Manager Dismisses Kadiri's Link With Belgian Champions
Published: July 09, 2020
östersunds FK's English manager Ian Burchnall has dismissed speculation in the local and foreign press linking the in-demand striker Jordan Attah Kadiri with a move to Belgian champions Club Brugge in the summer transfer window.
The Leicester-born football tactician acknowledged that the Nigerian is on the radar of several clubs but suggested that Club Brugge are not among his suitors.
Allnigeriasoccer.com reported more than two weeks ago that Club Brugge are not among the teams in Denmark and Belgium to have opened talks with Kadiri and his camp.
"I haven't heard anything about Club Brugge. But there is a tremendous interest in him, " Burchnall said to Ostersunds Posten, according to fotbolltransfers.com.
Signed from Nasarawa United in August 2019, Kadiri has quickly adapted to life in Sweden despite the unfavorable weather conditions.
The 20-year-old has contributed to 10 goals (8 goals, 2 assists) in 19 appearances across all competitions.
