With a statement on their official website, EFL League One club Blackpool have announced the capture of talented Nigerian central defender Marvin Ekpiteta from Leyton Orient.
The 24-year-old has put pen to paper on a two-year deal, keeping him at the Seasiders until June 30, 2022.
Marvin Ekpiteta has played a non-binding game for England C squad and has represented the Flying Eagles in the past.
In his first words after the deal was confirmed, Ekpiteta stated : "I’m so happy to be here and I can’t wait to get started.
"I’ve spoken to Neil and the Club is oozing positivity at the moment, so I feel this is a perfect opportunity to show what I can do.
"I love to defend and am also confident to play with the ball at my feet when the time is right, so I feel I have a lot to offer to Blackpool".
Blackpool have the option to extend Marvin Ekpiteta's contract by a further year.
A product of Oxford United Academy, he lists Chelmsford City, Witham Town, Concord Rangers and East Thurrock United among his previous clubs.
