Arsenal Rising Star Saka Misses Chance To Show Off To England Boss Southgate
Anglo-Nigerian starlet Bukayo Saka was surprisingly not involved for Arsenal as they registered a famous 2-0 win against Manchester City in the semifinals of the FA Cup at the National Stadium in London on Saturday evening, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.

With manager Mikel Arteta looking to tighten things at the back and also utilise the blistering pace of Nicolas Pepe on the counter attack, Saka remained on the bench for the entirety of the game.

Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate embarked on his first scouting mission since the restart and was in attendance at the Wembley Stadium.

And while he ran the rule over Manchester City trio Kyle Walker, Raheem Sterling and Phil Foden, Saka missed the chance to show off his skills to the England coach ahead of the UEFA Nations League games against Iceland and Denmark in September.

The underdogs Arsenal led 1-0 at the break, thanks to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who poked home at the far post following an excellent cross from Pepe.

The Gabonese striker doubled the Gunners advantage nineteen minutes from time after he was put through on goal by the brilliant Kieran Tierney.

Mikel Arteta's team were written off in so many quarters before the game but a real team effort saw them overcome Manchester City and give themselves a chance to win silverware this season when they return to Wembley to face either Chelsea or Manchester United in two weeks time.

Saka had played in every round for Arsenal before today's win against Pep Guardiola's Manchester City.
