Leon Balogun Reveals One Key Advantage He Has After Joining Glasgow Rangers
Published: July 25, 2020
Brand new signing Leon Balogun believes it is an advantage for him that he is in top-top condition after completing his move to Glasgow Rangers.
While the Rangers players started contact training 18 days ago, the Nigeria international has been in the thick of action for roughly one month after the EFL Championship restarted, so he's not lacking match fitness.
It means that manager Steven Gerrard could hand Balogun his competitive debut when Rangers take on Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership next weekend.
"I think it is an advantage for me not to be coming off 14 days or 21 days break so I can come straight to fit into it, work with the team and get to know the team," Balogun said to Rangers official website.
"The league starts next week, so I am looking forward to joining the squad and integrating as quickly as possible."
Balogun, 32, will join up with his new Rangers teammates, including Joe Aribo and Calvin Bassey on Monday ahead of the new campaign.
