Man Utd Urged To Make A Move For Ndidi After Mourinho Missed Out On Signing Him
Published: July 28, 2020Premier League giants Manchester United have been urged to make a move for Nigeria international Wilfred Ndidi.
Despite Leicester City losing 2-0 to the Red Devils on the final day of the 2019-2020 season, the holding midfielder gave a good account of himself.
With the exception of Manchester City, the top four clubs in England in the recently concluded season and Arsenal have been linked with the Super Eagles star since he moved to the Premier League.
Manchester Evening News wrote on Ndidi : "The weekend win might have seen United triumph in the battle at the King Power Stadium, but it also showed Solskjaer first hand what could be accomplished if his side were to make a move for Wilfred Ndidi summer.
"Ndidi dominated the midfield battle on Sunday afternoon and was part of the reason why United struggled to get the best out of (Bruno) Fernandes in an attacking capacity."

The report added : "Leicester's failure to qualify for the Champions League could persuade Ndidi to look elsewhere this summer and he could well be a crucial piece in the next stage of United's rebuild under Solskjaer.
"If United find themselves in the market for holding midfield reinforcement in the coming weeks, then it should be a straightforward case of yes Ndidi."

Prior to Ndidi's move to the Foxes in January 2017, former
Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho sought approval to sign the
Nigeria international but unfortunately the Board dragged their feet in
approving the request.
He is contracted to Leicester City until the end of the 2023-2024 season.
