Published: August 05, 2020
Through their official website, Arsenal have confirmed that Bukayo Saka has missed out on the Player of the Season accolade for the recently concluded 2019-2020 campaign.
The Hale End Academy graduate was among three players in the running for the award, the others being top scorer Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and first choice goalkeeper Bernd Leno.
Today, Wednesday, the Gunners announced that Saka finished third in the online poll, as voted for by the supporters, with ten percent of the final vote.
The 18-year-old carved out a reputation as an assist provider last term, ending with 12 assists in all competitions, making him the club's king of assists.
He netted four goals - against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League, Eintracht Frankfurt and Standard Liege in the Europa League, and Bournemouth in the FA Cup.
Arsenal new number 7, Saka appeared in 38 first team matches over the course of last season and logged 2,703 minutes in total.
