Osimhen's Manager Reveals What Super Eagles Striker Told Him Before Napoli Faced Barcelona
Published: August 09, 2020
Osita Okolo, Victor Osimhen's brother-in-law and manager, has revealed that the Nigeria international wanted to help his teammates in yesterday's 3-1 loss to Barcelona in the Champions League.
The former Lille striker was not eligible to be fielded for the game at the Camp Nou because he was not a Napoli player when the round of 16, first leg clash was played on February 25.
"Victor saw the match between Barcelona and Naples: he told me he wanted to play it to help his new teammates!" Okolo told Radio Kiss Kiss via Napoli Magazine.
"Sorry for the elimination because the team has made itself respected despite facing a strong club like Barcelona.
"Osimhen will have a great impact with Napoli, I am sure. He has a great desire above all to score: he is an excellent finisher and he will come to do what he does best, that is to score.
"He will be in Castel di Sangro for retirement on the dates set by the club for preparation. Soon he will join the group to start this new adventure."
Osimhen's five-year deal he signed with Napoli will be rubber-stamped by FIFA when the Italian transfer window opens for business on September 1, 2020.
