Belgian Top Division Club Interested In Signing Chelsea Striker Ugbo
Former England U17 international of Nigerian descent Ike Ugbo is being linked with an imminent move to Belgian First Division A club Cercle Brugge.

Goal.com Chelsea correspondent Nizaar Kinsella is reporting that Ugbo has agreed a loan move to Cercle Brugge, with the Belgian club having an option to buy set at five million euros.

Ugbo had been on the radar of English clubs including Derby County, Nottingham Forest and Watford after impressing during a loan spell at Roda JC last season but looks set to turn down a move to the Championship.

The 21-year-old scored a descent amount of goals in the Dutch Keuken Kampioen Divisie, 13 in 28 appearances before the 2019-2020 season was curtailed.

A prolific striker in the mould of Tammy Abraham at youth level for Chelsea, Ugbo has yet to make his professional debut for the Stamford Bridge club and has taken in loan spells at Barnsley, Milton Keynes Dons, Scunthorpe United and Roda over the last three years to continue his development.

Former Nigeria internationals Elderson Echiéjilé and Michael Uchebo previously represented Cercle Brugges.
