Confirmed : Chelsea Hero Obi Mikel Completes Move To Stoke City
Published: August 17, 2020Through a statement on their official website, Championship club Stoke City have confirmed the signing of Chelsea legend John Obi Mikel following a successful medical.
The financial terms and duration of contract signed by the ex-Nigeria skipper have not been disclosed by the Potters.
Stoke City is Mikel's third club in England after an illustrious career with Chelsea and played at Middlesbrough for the second half of the 2018-2019 season.
His other clubs include Lyn Oslo, Tianjin Teda and Trabzonspor, and he also played for Plateau United in his homeland before moving abroad.
Commenting on his new signing, manager Michael O’Neill said : "We’re delighted to bring John to the Club. His playing career speaks for itself and underlines his calibre as a player.
"I was really impressed with him when we met for the first time and he outlined what he wants from the next phase of his career."

Mikel joins former Super Eagles teammate Oghenekaro Etebo at the bet365 Stadium ahead of the 2020/21 Championship season.
