Four Nigerian Teenagers Train With Arsenal U23s; Azeez In Line To Play For First Team Vs QPR
Four teenagers of Nigerian descent trained with Arsenal U23s on Tuesday as they continued preparations for the 2020-2021 season, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.

Arsenal U23 assistant manager, Ryan Garry monitored at close quarters summer signing from Huddersfield Town Tim Akinola, Ryan Alebiosu, Mazeed Ogungbo and Folarin Balogun during the training session at London Colney.

Ogungbo and Alebiosu represented the U18s last term but have been promoted to the Gunners U23s for the new season while Balogun was the club's top scorer in the Premier League 2 with 10 goals during the 2019-20 season.

The four aforementioned players are unlikely to feature for the first team when they face Queens Park Rangers in a behind-closed-doors friendly on Tuesday.

James Olayinka, Tolaji Bola, Miguel Azeez and Daniel Oyegoke were not pictured training with the U23s today, fueling speculation that they are expected to be involved in some capacity in the friendly against the Hoops.

Azeez has hinted via his Instagram stories that he has been included in the matchday squad against Queens Park Rangers, posting a picture of his number 22 shirt with the caption, 'game day'.

The 17-year-old was a second half substitute in the 4-1 win vs MK Dons last week but was not in the squad for the Community Shield.
