The Reason Arsenal New Signing Ideho Is Not In The Matchday Squad Vs Crawley Town
Published: October 13, 2020Arsenal new signing Joel Ideho will not make his official debut for the Gunners development squad when they take on Crawley Town in an EFL Trophy clash at the People's Pension Stadium on Tuesday evening.
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that the former Ajax Amsterdam was unavailable for selection because he has not started training with his new teammates as he is still in the Netherlands.
Despite Ideho's omission, there is still huge Nigerian interest in this game with as many as five Nigeria-eligible teenagers named in Arsenal's starting lineup.
The main novelty in the starting XI is goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo, who is starting a game for Arsenal youth teams for the first time since April 26, 2019 after missing the whole of last season due to an undisclosed ailment.
Okonkwo is joined in the starting lineup by Ryan Alebiosu, Tim Akinola, James Olayinka and Miguel Azeez.
Striker Folarin Balogun has not traveled with his teammates to West Sussex because he is away on international duty with England's U20 squad.
Fullback Daniel Oyegoke was called up to an England U18 training camp and is also omitted from the squad to face the Red Devils.
