Published: October 17, 2020
Two Nigeria-eligible teenagers, Bryan Fiabema and Faustino Anjorin were on the scoresheet as Chelsea's Development Squad earned a 3-2 win over Derby County in a Premier League 2 fixture on Saturday afternoon, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
The duo came off the bench to inspire the young Blues to the comeback victory at the Cobham Training Centre,.
Anjorin opening the scoring while his compatriot twice got the better of Derby goalkeeper Foster-Theniger.
Anjorin who replaced Marcel Lewis scored within a minute of coming on in the hour mark, taking a pass inside his man and curling home a lovely finish after a reverse ball from Thierno Ballo.
On 73 minutes, Fiabema pounced on an intercepted pass from Anjorin, waltzed through the Derby defence and thumped home a glorious 30-yarder.
Ballo, Anjorin and Fiabema will combine for the winning goal, the latter finishing off after Ballo profited from a ball into space from the very impressive Anjorin.
While the victory sent Andy Myers' wards top of the Premier League 2 table, they are back in action when they travel to Liverpool's Academy Ground for a clash with Liverpool next weekend.
