FC Midtjylland striker Friday Etim has been named the Danish Superliga Player of the Month (POTM) for September 2026 after an impressive run of form in front of goal.
The Nigerian scored three goals and provided an assist in the Danish top-flight last month, and also found the net in a Cup clash against Sundby BK on September 10.
His performances have now earned him his first individual award since playing in Denmark's top division.
Etim saw off competition from FC Copenhagen duo Diant Ramaj and Asger Sørensen to claim the monthly prize.
The 24-year-old was delighted to receive the award and credited his goalscoring form for helping Midtjylland during a productive September.
"I'm happy with the award. It's been a good September for me. Of course, you're happy to score three goals as a striker because that's the way I can help the team, among other things," Etim was quoted as saying by the official webpage of FC Midtjylland.
"Now it's about continuing, because there is still a lot of work for us to do. I hope and believe that this is just the beginning."
Etim played 334 minutes, averaging a goal or assist every 83 minutes, while recording the most shots on target (9), ground duels won (25) and sprints (96) among all the players who featured during September.
