Done Deal : Arsenal Midfielder Olayinka Extends Loan With Southend United

League Two club Southend United have confirmed that Nigerian midfielder James Olayinka has extended his loan deal until the end of the 2020-2021 season.
The initial agreement between Arsenal and Southend United expired on January 27 but he has been offered fresh terms having impressed in the first half of the season.
The 20-year-old is currently recovering from an ankle ligament injury he suffered against Grimsby Town.
Olayinka featured sixteen times for the Blues, scoring three brilliant goals against Boreham Wood, Scunthorpe United and Mansfield Town.
Although the highly-rated midfielder has turned out for the Gunners
first team in friendly matches, he has yet to make his senior
debut and came close to playing his first official game when he was an
unused substitute in a Europa League fixture at Standard
Liege in December 2019, and the Community Shied match vs Liverpool this season.
Olayinka spent the second half of last season on loan at Northampton Town, helping them seal promotion to League One via the playoffs.
