Arsenal Made An Offer To Sign Nigeria International Winger Last Summer
Published: February 10, 2021
According to celebrated German newspaper Bild (via Fussballtransfers), English Premier League club Arsenal made an offer to sign Nigeria international Emmanuel Dennis last summer.
As per the report, the Club Brugge winger attracted interest from the Gunners who made a bid of eighteen million euros to secure his signature but the Belgian First Division A champions rejected the offer.
Dennis eventually ended up staying at Club Brugge for the first half of the season but fell out of favour with manager Philippe Clement, making ten starts from a possible 29 in all competitions.
Seeking game time, the 23-year-old joined Bundesliga club Cologne on loan for the remainder of 2020-2021.
Cologne have paid a 1.2 million euro fee for the loan of the former Zorya Lugansk star.
It remains to be seen if top European clubs will make a push to sign the Super Eagle in the summer transfer window.
Dennis's contract with Club Brugge runs out on June 30, 2022.
