Super Eagles winger given deadline to respond to offer from Olympiakos
Published: June 10, 2021
According to reports in the Greek media, including Onsports, Henry Onyeku has been given a deadline to respond to an offer from Super League champions Olympiakos.
It is claimed that Olympiakos have reached a club-to-club agreement with the Ligue 1 side to sign the Nigeria international but he has not yet responded to the offer.
The Red-Whites want a reply from Onyekuru by the end of the week, failing which they will turn their attention to other transfer targets.
A permanent transfer or loan move with an option to buy set at four million euros has been discussed between the two clubs.
The 24-year-old is dragging his feet because he wants to remain in Istanbul and play for a club in the city if he is not re-signed by Galatasaray, meaning the likes of Fenerbahce and Besiktas could be in the mix for the signing of the Super Eagles winger.
The former Eupen man has enjoyed three different loan spells at Galatasaray, scoring 22 goals in 71 appearances.
