Derby 1 Man Utd 2: Shoretire assists rocking new kit & jersey no; Three Nigerians feature for Rams

English Premier League giants Manchester United registered a 2-1 win against Derby County in their opening pre-season friendly at Pride Park Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Manchester United played with their new home strip for the first time in today's friendly versus The Rams.
Four Nigeria-eligible players were named in the matchday squad, with Super Eagles star Sone Aluko on parade for an hour, Shola Shoretire came off the bench in the second half, Festy Ebosele played the last 30 minutes and ex-Manchester United schoolboy Osazee Aghatise entered the fray in the 83rd minute against his old club.
Birmingham City-bound Tahith Chong converted from close range to open the scoring for United on 18 minutes.

Last season, the Anglo-Nigerian striker played with the number 74 when he made his Premier League and Europa League debuts.
Shoretire was involved in the second goal netted by United when he teed up Facundo Pellistri, who rounded the goalkeeper and slotted home on the hour mark, before Colin Kazim-Richard reduced the deficit at minute 70.
Manchester United face Queens Park Rangers in their next friendly on Saturday, July 24, while Derby County trade tackles with Salford City same day.
