Published: August 10, 2021
Italian Serie A club Napoli have loaned out Rome-born Nigerian attacking midfielder Michael Folorunsho ahead of the new season.
Serie B club Pordenone confirmed on Tuesday afternoon the signing of Folorunsho on a season-long loan from Napoli.
Since transferring to Napoli in 2019, the Italian-Nigerian midfielder has not made his competitive debut for the Blues.
In search of regular game time and to continue his development, he spent time on loan at Bari and Reggina.
Last season, Folorunsho contributed six goals and three assists in 32 games while on loan at Reggina and appeared in fifteen games the previous season at Bari.
The 1998-born player had stops at the youth teams of Tor Sapienza, Savio and Lazio before joining Virtus Francavilla in 2017, from where he moved to Napoli.
He has been described as a player who can play in all midfield and attacking roles and whose best qualities are speed, physicality and technique.
Folorunsho will be wearing the number 90 jersey at Pordenone in 2021-2022.
