Victor Osimhen left out of Napoli squad to face Legia Warsaw in the Europa League
Published: November 03, 2021Napoli manager Luciano Spalletti has taken eighteen players to Poland for the Europa League matchday four fixture against Legia Warsaw.
As expected, Victor Osimhen has been left out of the traveling squad as a precaution.
The Nigeria international is still recovering from a minor calf problem he aggravated in training before the visit to Salernitana.
Osimhen followed a personalised programme on the pitch in Napoli's first training session this week on Tuesday and did individual work in the gym on Wednesday morning.
Luciano Spalletti is hopeful of having his number nine back for the visit of Verona to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona this coming Sunday.
The former Lille and RSC Charleroi striker is the Blues' top scorer in the Europa League with four goals after scoring in consecutive matches against Leicester City, Spartak Moscow and Legia Warsaw.
