UECL: Kehinde and Odey named in Randers provisional matchday squad vs Leicester City
Published: February 24, 20222019 Nigeria U23 invitee Tosin Kehinde and Super Eagles striker Stephen Odey are set to be involved in some capacity when Randers take on Leicester City in a Europa Conference League knockout round playoff tie on Thursday evening.
Randers head coach Thomas Thomasberg has selected a 23-man squad for the visit of the Foxes composed of three goalkeepers, eight defenders, eight midfielders and four strikers with the two Nigerian-born offensive-minded players making the cut.
Barring an injury in the pre-match warm up, Kehinde and Odey will be included in the final matchday squad.
A third player of Nigerian descent in Marvin Egho is not available for selection due to an undisclosed ailment.
Odey, Randers' standout player so far this season, is making a return to the squad after serving a three-game ban for violent conduct.
The former Mountain of Fire, FC Zurich and Racing Genk striker traveled with the squad to the East Midlands last week but watched the game from the stands as he was ineligible to be fielded.
Randers are determined to deliver a good performance in a packed stadium after losing 4-1 in the first showdown in England.
