Confirmed : Chelsea's Nigeria-eligible striker joins Rosenborg on loan
Published: March 06, 2022With a statement on their official website, Norwegian Eliteserien giants Rosenborg have announced the temporary signing of Norwegian-Nigerian attacker Bryan Fiabema.
The talented teenager will remain on loan at Rosenborg until the end of the Norwegian season with an option to buy included in the deal.
Since joining Chelsea from Tromso in 2020, Fiabema has yet to make his senior debut for the European champions but has trained with the first team on few occasions.
The 19-year-old has now left Chelsea temporarily in search of regular first team football.
In his first words after the loan deal was confirmed, Fiabema stated : " I am happy to be here and look forward to getting started.
"I have attended a very good school in Chelsea and am ready for senior football now.
"It was very interesting when Rosenborg made contact. Rosenborg is Norway's largest club and is a club I have followed since I was little. Now I am here and ready to take the next step."

This season, Fiabema has registered eight goals in twenty appearances for Chelsea youth teams, including three goals in the UEFA Youth League.
When Fiabema made his senior debut for Tromso on July 14, 2019 aged 16 years, 4 months and 28 days, he was the youngest player of Nigerian descent to feature in the Norwegian Eliteserien until the record was surpassed by Antonio Nusa in May 2021.
