Another former Rangers captain Craig Moore has praised Joe Aribo ahead of Wednesday's Europa League showpiece between the Light Blues and Eintracht Frankfurt in Seville.
Moore and ex-Rangers skipper Lorenzo Amoruso are on the same page regarding the qualities of the Nigeria international.
Aribo has proved to be one of Rangers' key players in the Europa League, starting fourteen of the sixteen games played by the Scottish giants in the Europa League including the qualifying rounds.
The Rangers number 17 provided vital assists in the wins against Borussia Dortmund and Sporting Braga in the knockout rounds.
Asked to comment on the injury suffered by Alfredo Morelos and Kemar Roofe, Moore said to German sports magazine Kicker :"They were also sorely missed in the penalty area, the Rangers' attacking game can still be improved.
"Without a real centre-forward, however, the game is broader, for example with Ryan Kent on the wing, who dares a lot. Back in midfield I like Joe Aribo, he pushes a lot."
Apart from battling for the Europa League, Rangers and Frankfurt have more to play for tonight at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán Stadium as the winner is guaranteed a spot in next season's Champions League.
