Exclusive : Cardiff City, Anderlecht, Royal Antwerp interested in Super Eagles striker
Published: June 23, 2022Nigeria international striker Josh Maja faces an uncertain future at French club Bordeaux and could be on the move before the close of the summer transfer window.
Bordeaux have been relegated to the third tier of French football by the DNCG due to financial issues.
Logically, the six-time French champions have to get some players off their books in order to reduce their wage bill and Maja is among the players tipped for the exit door.
Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report that the Super Eagle is attracting interest from EFL Championship club Cardiff City and Belgian Pro League teams Anderlecht and Royal Antwerp.
There is also interest from Stoke City, where he spent the second half of last season on loan, and was involved in five goals in seventeen all-competition appearances.
Maja has approximately twelve months left on his contract with Bordeaux, whom he joined from Sunderland in January 2019.
Bordeaux players reported for the start of pre-season training on Thursday, June 23 and will be heading off for a training cam in the coming days.
