Everton interested in Chelsea's Super Eagles-eligible attacking midfielder

Everton are reportedly interested in signing England youth international of Nigerian descent Faustino Anjorin.

90 Min claims that the Toffees are looking to bolster their squad after narrowly avoiding the drop last season and Anjorin is a player being considered for the midfield department.

Anjorin is currently with the Chelsea squad in the United States of America for pre-season preparations and a decision on his future is expected to be made by manager Thomas Tuchel after the tour.

Per the report, it has been suggested that Everton are pushing to sign the Super Eagles-eligible attacking midfielder on a permanent basis, but Chelsea would prefer a loan move and the player is open to joining the Goodison Park outfit.

Anjorin was loaned out to Lokomotiv Moscow for the first part of the 2021-2022 campaign and was at Huddersfield Town for the remainder of the season.

Everton are in the market for a midfielder with the future of Andre Gomes and Jean-Philippe Gbamin up in the air while Fabian Delph was released at the end of last month.

Toffees boss Frank Lampard knows Anjorin from his time at Chelsea, handing him his Carabao Cup, FA Cup, Premier League and Champions League debuts against Grimsby Town, Morecambe, Everton and Krasnodar respectively.
