Spurs target reveals intention of playing in EPL, reiterates desire to represent Italy over Nigeria
Published: July 21, 2022Destiny Udogie, who is attracting interest from Tottenham Hotspur this summer, has revealed his intention of playing in the English Premier League in the future.
The Italian-Nigerian put himself in the shop window after an outstanding season at Udinese that saw his register five goals and set up three others in 35 Serie A appearances.
Udinese do not want to lose Udogie this summer as they see him as a player for the future and it would take a big bid to lure him away from the Dacia Arena.
Udinese director Marino: "Pablo Marì deal with Arsenal is absolutely not an easy negotiation for us. Nahuel Molina and Gerard Deulofeu could leave the club in case we receive a good proposal". ⚪️ #transfers

On Udogie-Spurs: "We're not used to sell our talents after one season".
Juventus and Inter Milan are the major clubs in the Serie A credited with an interest in the Italy U21 international.
Addressing speculation surrounding his future, Udogie said to La Gazzetta dello Sport, via The Cult of Calcio : "The market rumors about Juventus?
"I saw them on social media. But I was calm, I was thinking about recovering. First of all, I’m fine in Udine. I want to play and improve, both defensively and offensively.
He added : "I would gladly have an experience in England down the line."
Born in Verona, Udogie is provisionally cap-tied to his country of birth, Italy and has reiterated his desire to play international football at senior level for gli Azzurri, rather than the Super Eagles.
"My goal is to get to Roberto Mancini’s senior national team, the coach told me he wanted to take a close look at me," he said.
One of the hottest prospects in European football at the moment, Udogie has a contract with Udinese until June 30, 2026.
