His new contract will keep him at the Abbey Stadium until the end of the 2024-2025 season.

During his time at Tottenham Hotspur, Okedina wasn't handed his senior debut but was a key player for the youth teams, making appearances in the U18 Premier League, Premier League 2, FA Youth Cup, UEFA Youth League and Papa John's Trophy.

Commenting on his new deal, Okedina told the official webpage of the Yellows : "I am very happy. I have had plenty of great moments here at Cambridge and I now look forward to creating more.

"I feel fresh, I feel fit and I feel ready to get the season going."

Okedina has been offered fresh terms by Cambridge United after showing his potential over the last eighteen months.

Cambridge United's first game of the 2022-2023 season is against Milton Keynes Dons on July 30.
