Arsenal to continue monitoring Super Eagles-eligible striker this season
Published: September 29, 2022Arsenal are reportedly very happy with the performances of Super Eagles-eligible striker Folarin Balogun in the 2022-2023 campaign.
Writing in his column for Caughtoffside (subscription required), Italian transfer market guru Fabrizio Romano says Arsenal will continue monitoring Balogun this season as he's highly rated for the future.
Balogun has made a splash in the French Ligue 1 in the opening weeks of the new season with five goals and one assist in eight appearances.
On the back of his outstanding form in the division, he was awarded the Ligue 1 Young Player of the Month for August 2022.
Allnigeriasoccer.com exclusively reported exactly two weeks ago that Arsenal cannot recall the striker when the transfer window reopens for business in January 2023 simply because they didn't include a clause that allows them to terminate the deal before its expiration next summer.
The Hale End Academy graduate also caught the eye while on international duty in September, scoring as England U21s defeated Noah Atubolu's Germany 3-1 in an friendly to take his tally to seven goals in thirteen appearances for the age group.
