2021 Super Eagles invitee joins Man Utd and Liverpool stars, 6 others in PL TOTW
Published: October 21, 20222021 Super Eagles invitee Michael Olise has been named to the Premier League Team of the Week by football statistics website Whoscored.com.
Olise has been in brilliant form of late, bagging assists in two of his last three matches in the English top-flight.
Against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Tuesday, the France U21 international provided a key pass that set up the Eagles equaliser netted by another player of interest to the Nigeria Football Federation, Eberechi Eze shortly after the restart.
In a 4-4-2 formation, Olise was deployed as the right-sided midfielder, with Crystal Palace teammate Wilfried Zaha on the left side, while the central midfield positions were taken by Manchester United duo Bruno Fernandes and Fred.
Manchester United loanee Dean Henderson is in goal, and he's protected by a back four of Kieran Trippier (Newcastle United), Daniel Amartey (Leicester City), Fabian Schär (Newcastle United) and Luke Shaw (Manchester United).
Odsonne Édouard (Crystal Palace) Darwin Nunez (Liverpool) are the two strikers.
Olise registered a game-high five key passes against Wolves, played two shots with none on target, completed two dribbles and won one aerial duel, made one interception and one clearance and was accurate in 72.4 percent of his passes.
