Napoli chief reacts to speculation linking Super Eagles star to Manchester United, Chelsea

Napoli director Cristiano Giuntoli has reacted to speculation in the media linking Nigeria international Victor Osimhen with a departure from the Diego Maradona Stadium.
As reported by Football Italia, Giuntoli was asked to shed light on the reported Premier League interest in Osimhen from clubs such as Chelsea, Manchester United and more.
The Super Eagles star was offered to Manchester United in the summer transfer window but the Red Devils prioritized the signing of Antony over the Napoli striker.
Chelsea are reportedly considering signing Osimhen next summer after receiving glowing reports from their scouts.
Reacting to transfer speculation surrounding Osimhen, Giuntoli told DAZN : "I repeat, we are not thinking about the transfer market right now. We try to grow day by day and see what we can achieve.
"Our transfer strategy is always done with the head and not the heart, both for incoming and outgoing players. I think we have always managed to form a competitive squad and we are doing well this season too.”
Osimhen was surprisingly an unused substitute as Napoli thrashed Glasgow Rangers 3-0 to further cement their position at the top of the Champions League Group A standings.
The 2015 FIFA U17 World Cup Golden Boot winner is under contract with The Blues until June 30, 2025.
