Arsenal, Chelsea make enquiries over the signing of N16.1b-rated winger of Nigerian descent
Published: November 16, 2022Premier League clubs Arsenal and Chelsea are interested in signing Noah Okafor from Red Bull Salzburg ahead of the reopening of the transfer window.
Okafor has been instrumental to RB Salzburg's brilliant run this season, scoring 10 goals and three assists from 22 appearances across all competitions.
His impressive performances have not gone unnoticed by English powerhouses like Arsenal and Chelsea who have both made enquiries about the winger of Nigerian descent.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, Salzburg will only part ways with Okafor if an offer in the region of €35 million (approximately N16.1 billion in Nigerian currency) is received.
Arsenal currently top the Premier League table with 37 points from 14 games and he'll be a good addition to Mikel Arteta's armory that already has the likes of Bukayo Saka, Edward Nketiah, Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli, Reiss Nelson and Emile Smith Rowe.
Chelsea on the other hand are struggling to score goals and are unexpectedly languishing outside the top six in the Premier League.
Okafor may be the missing puzzle in Chelsea's attack if he completes a move to the Bridge.
On the international scene, Okafor and Manchester City defender Manuel Akanji will be representing Switzerland at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
