Anglo-Nigerian striker scores first league goal of the season for Chelsea youth team
Published: December 03, 2022Anglo-Nigerian striker Louis Flower was on target for Chelsea U18s as they came from behind to beat Aston Villa in a U18 Premier League match on Saturday, December 3.
It was his first goal for the Blues U18 team in the league this season, having fired blanks in four matches before the trip to Aston Villa.
Flower completed 22 minutes of Chelsea's 3-1 victory against Aston Villa after coming off the bench midway through the second half.
There was a rare start for his teammate Chinoso Chibueze and fullback Somto Boniface played the last nine minutes.
After the home team took the lead through Simpson in the 44th minute, goals from Michael Golding, Tyrique George and Flower helped the Londoners return to winning ways.
Flower wrapped up the scoring in the first minute of stoppage time when he slotted into the corner.
The 18-year-old's other goal for Chelsea's youth teams this season was netted in a UEFA Youth League clash against Dinamo Zagreb in November.
