Talented Arsenal youngster of Nigerian descent wins award at loan club
Published: December 05, 2022London-born goalkeeper of Nigerian descent Ovie Ejeheri has been officially recognized for his outstanding performances in the month of November.
The Arsenal-owned player has been voted Chelmsford City's Player of the Month.following a string of fine displays.
Ejeheri has produced an incredible ten clean sheets in sixteen appearances in the National League South since joining the Clarets on loan in July 2022.
The 19-year-old made five appearances in the sixth tier of English football last month, posting three shutouts against Bath City, Dover Athletic and Dartford FC, which was enough for him to win the Player of the Month accolade.
His loan deal at Chelmsford City expires in January 2023 and he would be returning to the Emirates Stadium if the deal is not extended.
Ejeheri officially joined the Arsenal Academy at the age of eight.
Other Arsenal players of Nigerian descent out on loan include Folarin Balogun, Arthur Okonkwo, Mazeed Ogungbo, Ryan Alebiosu, Miguel Azeez and Tim Akinola.
