Glasgow Rangers interested in 2017 U20 World Cup winner of Nigerian descent
Published: December 05, 2022Scottish Premiership giants Glasgow Rangers are reportedly interested in signing 2017 FIFA U20 World Cup winner of Nigerian descent Josh Onomah in the January transfer window.
The Light Blues recently confirmed the appointment of Michael Beale as the 18th manager of the club, after the sacking of Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
According to Football Insider, the new Rangers boss is plotting a move for Onomah when the transfer window reopens for business next month.
Beale attempted to sign the Fulham man during the summer transfer window when he was in charge of Queens Park Rangers.
Onomah has struggled for playing opportunities since the start of the season, making just two appearances off the bench in the Premier League and was in action for a paltry thirteen minutes.
The 25-year-old was heavily linked with a deadline move to West Brom in the summer but the Baggies were unable to get the deal over the line before the close of the window.
Onomah will enter the last six months of his contract with the Cottagers in January 2023.
