Bristol City make transfer decision on 2019 Flying Eagles invitee ahead of January window
Published: December 27, 2022
Championship club Bristol City have made a transfer decision on 2019 Flying Eagles invitee Fisayo Dele-Bashiru.
Dele-Bashiru's name has been doing the rounds for the past couple of months, with reports linking him with a departure from Sheffield Wednesday amid his contract standoff at Hillsborough.
According to Bristol World, Bristol City are unlikely to reignite their interest in the Nigerian Olympic National Team hopeful when the transfer window reopens for business next month.
He was linked with a switch to the Robins in the summer transfer window but a move did not materialize.
It has been claimed that PSV Eindhoven, Besiktas and Antalyaspor are monitoring the situation of Dele-Bashiru with a view to a swoop as from the winter transfer market.
The 21-year-old will enter the last six months of his contract with Sheffield Wednesday next week and can sign a preliminary contract with a foreign club next month.
A product of the Manchester City Academy, Dele-Bashiru has six goals and four assists in 68 games since Sheffield Wednesday signed him from the Citizens in July 2020.
