'A man of his word' - OGC Nice confirm capture of Super Eagles striker on loan with obligation to buy
Published: January 31, 2023French Ligue 1 club OGC Nice have won the race for Nigeria international striker Terem Moffi.
With a statement on their official website, OGC Nice have confirmed the arrival of Terem Moffi on a loan deal with an obligation to buy from FC Lorient.
Moffi was heavily courted by Premier League duo Southampton and West Ham United, plus Marseille, but the Super Eagles star had already promised to join OGC Nice.
Describing the 23-year-old, OGC Nice wrote, 'quick, powerful and a formidable finisher, the Super Eagle is also a man of his word'.
Moffi has become a household name in the Ligue 1, scoring 34 goals in 87 matches since his arrival from KV Kortrijk in 2020.
His transfer was competed in time, at midday today, and he's eligible to make his debut for OGC Nice when they face Marseille on Sunday, February 5.
The nine-cap Nigeria international has played in Lithuania with both FK Kauno Žalgiris and FK Riteria.
