Scottish Premiership giants Glasgow Rangers are reportedly keeping tabs on Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers ahead of the reopening of the transfer window.

According to the Daily Mail, via Scottish Sun, Rangers have 'run checks' on two strikers in Italy's top flight as they look to identify new attacking options - Atalanta's Sam Lammers and Cremonese's Cyriel Dessers.

Although Dessers is under contract at Cremonese until June 30, 2027, his future will be the subject of speculation in the summer, with the Grigiorossi losing their top-flight status this term.

The 28-year-old has a good reputation in Europe thanks to winning the top scorer award in the inaugural edition of the UEFA Europa Conference League, where he mustered ten goals in thirteen outings for Feyenoord Rotterdam.

Dessers is certain to end the campaign with at least ten goals, having netted three goals for Racing Genk and another seven for Cremonese.

Rangers are in the market for offensive players with Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos set to the depart Ibrox when their contracts expire next month.

The Light Blues have also been linked with another striker of Nigerian descent, Ike Ugbo, who knows Rangers boss Michael Beale from his time at Chelsea.
