Napoli want Paris Saint-Germain to pay Mbappe-like fee for Osimhen
Published: June 21, 2023
French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain have continued pressing for the signature of Nigerian and Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen.
According to French media outlet Le Parisien, Paris Saint-Germain have intensified their efforts to sign the Napoli forward.
However, Napoli are not ready to make striking a deal easy as they have reportedly increased their asking price for the striker from 150 million euros to 180 million euros.
The fee demanded is similar to the figure Paris Saint-Germain paid to Monaco to acquire Kylian Mbappé in the summer of 2018.
The Blues President, Aurelio De Laurentiis has proven in time past how difficult it is to negotiate a deal with him regarding any of his key players.
It is no surprise that he has stuck to his hard-stance approach on Osimhen.
PSG intend to add the 24-year-old to their attack to complement Kylian Mbappé and Neymar Jr's efforts
Osimhen notched 31 goals in all competitions last season which was only bettered by Kylian Mbappé among the present PSG players
Should he complete a move to the French capital before the end of this transfer window, he would become the second-joint most expensive player in football history.
The Super Eagles forward is also on the wishlist of Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Chelsea.
