Rangers unwilling to meet Cremonese's N6.8b valuation of Dessers
Published: June 24, 2023Glasgow Rangers are unwilling to match Cremonese's £6.5 million (equated to N6.8 billion in Nigerian currency) valuation of Super Eagles striker, Cyriel Dessers.
According to the Scottish Daily Mail via Ibrox News, Cremonese are not ready to accept any bid lower than their asking price for Dessers and that might prevent Rangers' further pursuit of the Nigerian striker.
The 28-year-old is admired by Rangers coach, Michael Beale and would love him to complement the effort of new signing Sam Lammers in the summer having lost Alfredo Morelos.
It was earlier claimed that Dessers does not fancy a move to Rangers and would prefer remaining in the Serie A.
Torino are among the clubs in Italy interested in the Nigeria international who is contracted to the Grigiorossi until June 30, 2027
The Maroons are prepared to offer two of their players - Senegal forward Demba Seck and Lithuania midfielder Gvidas Gineitis - to sweeten the deal.
In his debut season in Italy, Dessers notched seven goals and provided two assists in twenty nine all-competition appearances for Cremonese.
