Super Eagles dazzler Ejuke not joining Trabzonspor amid reports a deal is close
Published: June 26, 2023Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report with certainty that Super Eagles dazzler Chidera Ejuke will turn down a move to Turkish Super Lig outfit Trabzonspor in the summer transfer market.
Reports in Turkey and Russia had suggested that Ejuke was unhappy in Russia for reasons everyone is aware of and his agent has held transfer talks with Trabzonspor over a possible move.
Per the report, it was claimed that only small details needed to be resolved before the parties reach an agreement.
This website understands that Ejuke is not negotiating with Trabzonspor and would reject a transfer to the Black Sea Storm in this window should the interest become concrete.
The former Liverpool trialist has entered the last twelve months of his contract with Russian Premier League outfit CSKA Moscow, whom he joined from Heerenveen in August 2020.
If he does not put pen to paper on a new contract, this summer would be the best time for the Army Men to sell him or they risk losing him for nothing at the end of the forthcoming season.
Ejuke was loaned out to Hertha Berlin for the entirety of the 2022-2023 campaign, but did not join them on a full deal at the end of the season following their demotion to the second tier.
Since landing at CSKA Moscow, he has logged 65 appearances in all competitions, registering 10 goals and 8 assists.
