Official: 2023 Flying Eagles invitee returns to Arsenal mid-July after loan spell
Published: June 28, 20232023 Flying Eagles invitee Ovie Ejeheri will return to parent club Arsenal in mid-July, Finnish Veikkausliiga club Seinäjoen Jalkapallokerho have officially announced.
The temporary loan agreement expires in mid-July with the transfer window opening, and Arsenal want the young goalkeeper in their summer training camps according to Ejeheri.
The Hale End Academy product will be available for selection for SJK in their upcoming league matches against Ilves and Honka before bidding farewell to his teammates in Finland.
Ejeheri has been in impressive form since the start of August, posting twenty clean sheets combined for National League South club Chelmsford City FC in the first half of the 2022-2023 season and Seinäjoen Jalkapallokerho.
He was recognized for his outstanding performances last month, with the Veikkausliiga selecting him in its Team of the Month.
The 20-year-old has admitted that he has had a great time at SJK and was delighted with his performances.
"In terms of sports, this has also been a good learning experience for me. I have really improved during my time here. If you look at my first game against Haka, and compare it to the current one, I can see a really big improvement between them," Ejheri told SJK's official website.
"I am also very happy with how well the whole team has done during the season. I really hope that success will continue until the end.
"Game-wise, I have performed well, but the clean sheets played are still the team's achievement in my opinion.
"Of course, it's great that when I've been needed, I've done my part, like in the KuPS game, where I think I did well. Of course, it's always nice to keep clean sheets".
Ejeheri has played in 41 games across all competitions since making his senior debut in August 2022.
